Nickname: Mundo

Armand Conti is well known for his post-tournament query, “What was your favorite part of this weekend?” So, in Armand tradition I pose the questions (and provide the answers), “What is your favorite part of Armand Conti?” The answer may seem obvious… but the nancies vetoed my mentioning of anything phallic like SO… I’ll have to come up with something else…

Possibly it IS something about his appearance that is a bit more “appropriate”? -The golden locks he once possessed? -His red beard? -His worldly nickname, “Mundo”... get it, worldly? Or is it something more related to his ultimate skillz? -Like his ability to go up in a crowd of six and come down with the disc -or those moments when he baits, bids, and Callahans a Colorado handler to take half? -Or perhaps it’s his knack for getting that clutch lay-out D on the in cut? Or maybe it’s his leadership? – His ability to keep everyone’s focus on the game -His level headed advice calming you down after your mark calls a bushly foul -His capacity to call lines, give strategy AND play like a dominator at MLC. Or perhaps it’s his knack for partying it up? -Throwing things into expensive televisions? -His classic blue retro suit

Even if you can’t pinpoint the best part of Armand Conti, we can all agree: it’s somewhere deep inside each of us, because let’s face it, Mundo has instilled a little bit of the best of him into every single one of his teammates.
